Young Advisors
NHS Central Lancashire Young Advisors
Ann-Marie Walsh one of NHS Central Lancashire Young Advisors is working with ITV Fixers in order to create a more young people friendly health service for young people with disabilities.
ITV Fixers is helping Ann-Marie to create a DVD which will promote the views of young people who have disabililities using health services. It is hoped that this DVD will encourage services to become young people friendly and also have an understanding of the issues young people face when they first use adult health services in particular those that are more likely to be used by older adults such as podiatory , physiotherapy and audiology. Ann-Marie wants to dispell the myths and change things for the better for young people like her.
